As a small business owner I have experience with managing an office and know what it takes to efficiently run a business. I am also a member of the Westfield Chamber of Commerce and President of the Westfield Toastmasters. I am an Assistant Scoutmaster for my sons troop. For two years now have volunteered for the Westfield Rocks the 4th. I also attend some Westfield Town Council meetings.

As a resident of Westfield I observed in the past that the City Council members did not always listen to the citizens of Westfield on important issues relating to land use and growth. As we became a city the people of Westfield need someone to have a voice for them in decision making and I will be their voice in District 3.

Westfield is experiencing major growth, which can be both positive and negative. We need to stay with the Comprehensive Plan to ensure that there is the right balance for development and land use. We need to do what is best for the future economic development of Westfield to keep property taxes low by attracting a variety of businesses, as well as a variety of housing. This will keep home values up and make Westfield a stronger community.

I will work with the residents, developers, businesses, and architects to achieve a common goal for the positive economic growth of Westfield without losing sight of its historic small town roots.
